Know Your State Laws
Florida
Florida is a long-time supporter of home education, and the number of families choosing this education option shows steady growth.
Each year, the Florida Department of Education surveys all school districts to determine the number of students and families who have registered their intent to establish home education programs. For the 2022-23 school year, the numbers provided by the districts indicated that 114,258 families and 154,289 students participated in home education programs.
Mississippi
Mississippi has no laws relating to graduating your homeschooler. Compulsory attendance is required for students until the age of 17, but there are no Mississippi guidelines on what your high schooler must achieve prior to graduation. Mississippi homeschooling families must set their own requirements for completion of schooling.
Homeschool parents may create their own student transcripts, and may include any information they deem pertinent to colleges, military, and/or future workplace organizations.
*Only the states currently served are displayed in the list above. Additional states will be added as the details of state requirements are learned and properly implemented by the Lacy's EYE into Homeschool Program.
